Can I Have Invisalign Treatment Even Though Some Teeth Are Missing?

Q.
Hi there, I was wondering if you could shed some light on my situation. I was involved in an accident a couple of years ago and I ended up losing three of my teeth. I would like Invisalign braces but will they still work even though I don’t have a full set of teeth? I can’t afford to get them straightened AND have the missing ones replaced, so which do you think I should go for? Thanks.

Hey, thanks for your question. Invisalign does indeed still work if you have teeth missing. Sometimes it’s actually beneficial to have spaces between the teeth because it allows them to move past each other unhindered. And when it comes to straightening the teeth or having them replaced, it’s up to you really! Have a chat with your dentist and see what he says. – Dr Andy Stafford.
