Hi Dr. Akere, I’m wondering if you can help me out. I want braces and Invisalign seem like the best choice, but I’m one of these people that seems to be allergic to everything! Hi Dr. Akere. I had braces around 3 years ago and my teeth were straight afterwards, but then my retainer broke and I didn’t get it sorted, and now my teeth have moved back. I want my teeth to be straight again as soon as possible, will Invisalign be the best solution for me? Thanks!

How accurate are the predictions of treatment time? my dentist has said 18 mptnhs which I could handle, however if it starts getting on towards 2-3 years i’m not sure I could be bothered.

If I get Invisalign and the results are unsatisfactory can I get a refund or anything? is there any kind of braces ‘pre -nup’ that I can arrange with my dentist? it is a lot of money to spend without getting any kind of guarantee. thanks

Should the number of aligners you get affect the price? if you only have a few and some else has fourty would the price be the same?

This is a slightly awkward question, but would I have to take the Invisalign aligners out when ‘in the bedroom.’ If so how long can you take them out for? it would not be very attractive if I had to keep popping them in and out.

Hello!
I have multiple gaps in both the upper and lower arches of my teeth. I also have a slight overbite, but I don’t believe it is of any concern. My smile is narrow , but I have a large mouth and jaw! The teeth and gaps currently fit well in my mouth and jaw so my concern is that by pushing my teeth back to close all my gaps, my arches will become to narrow and that will have an adverse affect on my mouth/lip shape, and something will not look right when it is all said and done! I forgot to mention that I am a 38 year old female. Do you have any thoughts on this that might be helpful to ease my concerns?

I recently got a throat infection but it has not shifted yet. I am prone to them but normally long before now they are gone. I am on my 4th tray of invisalign and i was wondering if this may be the contributing factor? Have any of your patients ever had this issue? I don’t want to stop wearing them.
