Can I Have Invisalign Treatment At The Same Time As Having Periodontal Treatment?

Hi, what is your opinion on receiving aligners at the same time as having treatment for gum disease? I want to surprise my family when I visit them in Australia in 6 months time. I’ve always had a misaligned smile with large gaps and I think this is why my gums are in such poor health. I’m already being treated for my gums and looking for a dentist who would be willing to supply me with a brace system at the same time. Do you know of any? I live in Shrewsbury. Is Teeth-Shaving Safe?

My dentist has informed me that if I want to have Invisalign aligners, I will need to get some of my teeth shaved away. I am quite scared by the prospect as I have heard that it can cause sensitive teeth and damaged teeth. It it safe? Thanks.

Is it usual to straighten teeth using crowns instead of braces?

How common is it to straighten teeth only by crowns and not using any braces? My cosmetic dentist is proposing to do 22 crowns! I am 66yrs old and I have a lot of big fillings. He says he can create space (1mm) by changing my bite and that my jaw muscles will accomodate this. He says my crooked teeth will not easliy move with a brace but says my teeth when crowned, will be re-aligned. I have a very deep bite on my front teeth resulting in excessive wear on LR1&2 and LL1&2. Advice please

Can crowns be moved into a straighter position using Invisalign?

I have a crown on my front tooth, but was wondering it if was possible to have invisalign treatment to straighten it out? I did have a slight infection in that tooth, but it has definitely gone now, i just didn’t know if it was possible to move teeth with a crown on it

What can I do to stop my teeth moving again?

I have been wearing my invisalign braces since Sept, since then I have spoken with numerous people who have worn braces at some point in their life, most having got them young therefore not having to pay, generally most say that after a few years they notice slight movement, even though they wore the retainer for the suggested period, obviously having spent a lot of money on this treatment, I am looking for any advice you have that will help prevent future movement?

Can Invisalign straighten my teeth again and what can I do to stop them relapsing again?

Hello doctors,

I wonder if you could help me. I had braces about 10 years ago and my teeth within that time have relapsed. They are not as bad as they were, but I still would prefer them to be straight. A mild amount of crowding has occurred at the front of my mouth, probably because my wisdom teeth have come through and caused a bit of tightening. Anway, i waffle i was just wondering could invisalign treat this and will it be able to stop it relapsing again?

Can Invisalign straighten my crossed teeth in 4 months?

i am looking for fast effective treatment to be completed in 4 months for crossed over front teeth. Do you think it is at all possible for me to received those kind of results in that time with invisalign? The crossed teeth are the only problems I have and I do not have any dental or gum disease, so that will not be a problem when it comes to treatment. Do you think Invisalign would be a good choice?

I need Invisalign treatment for my top and bottom teeth, how much will this cost?

what is the general price for invisalign if you need both your top and bottom teeth treating? I have a bit on an overbite and some of my teeth are a little crooked, so i am just guessing at the moment that i would be needing top and bottom aligners, but i just though id ask to see what the maximum cost would be to me. My teeth have relapsed after previous brace work, can Invisalign move them back into place?

Hi, I had quite a lot of orthodontic work done during my early teens and by 16 I had a perfect set of teeth but stupidly stopped wearing my retainers. I’m 19 now and have notices my teeth are going into a square shape at the bottom, and my top two front teeth are crossing slightly. I’m really upset! My overbite has also worsened slightly, but maybe thats just from the square shape of my bottom teeth? Would invisalign me good for me?

I had a tooth replaced with an implant after an accident, not content with my smile will I be legible to use invisalign?

hello doctors

i had an accident about a year ago now, where one of my teeth was knocked out. I had this replaced with an implant, which has settled in very nicely. However, i am still not content with my smile at all, which features two very ugly front nashers to everybody! would I be ok to have the invisalign treatment combined with the implant which is at the front of my mouth or would it impeed results??
