I have just started wearing Invisalign and it’s a little painful to wear at the moment. Do you know what I could do to stop the pain? How long will this go on for, does it get any better? My orthodontist warned me not to take them off too much but I’m finding it hard to wear them all the time. Please help me with this.

Hello Dr Akere. I’ve been considering Invisalign but I have a few questions first. Is a retainer always needed after the aligners? Are the aligners completely invisible? I used to have fixed braces and was picked on for them constantly, I don’t want it to happen again! Thank you in advance.

Hello! I think I have a problem regarding orthodontistry. I’ve been to a number of consultations now and every time I’ve been recommended a different type of brace so I don’t know what to do! All I want is one front tooth treating, it’s currently twisted quite badly but it’s the only one that I want treating at the moment. I’ve been recommended for 6 month smiles and Invisalign but I only want the one tooth fixing so I feel these two options are a bit over the top and extreme in the least. Is there anything you can recommend for the treatment of just the one tooth? Thank you!

Hi Dr Manoloustou. I dropped my top Invisalign aligner the other day and it’s now bent slightly, it seems to fit okay but not sure if i should go to my orthodontist about this? I’m not actually due to go and see her for another 3 weeks but if this slight bend is going to affect my treatment time then i’m not sure what i should do? What do you think?? should i make an appointment? She is always SO busy because she’s an amazing orthodontist so i don’t really want to trouble her if I don’t actually need to. I mean, it’s only bent I didn’t break it, thank fully I didn’t stand on it because then I would be in great trouble haha. Thank you very much for your advice, I appreciate you reading this and getting back to me.

Hello Dr Sepehara, I hope you can help me. I’m 24 and have crooked teeth but its only on the right side on the bottom teeth. For this reason I never had braces because I thought it would effect the rest of my teeth which are all straight and fine. Is there an aligner which can largely leave the left half of my bottom teeth alone but straighten the ones on the right side? Or would you recommend a different treatment all together. I’m a bit confused on what to do but i’m worried that if left much longer then the crooked teeth with eventually effect the other straight teeth. please let me know what your expert opinion is, Thank you in advance

Hello Dr Adam,
I recently moved to the Uk from Canada and was wondering if you could give me some advice regarding Invisalign treatment.
I had been looking into getting the treatment back in Canada but I was transferred to London before I got a chance to actually get treatment which might be for the best really.
I don”t know very much about the dentist industry here, whether it is similar to Canada or not?
Could you advise me how I go about finding a good place to have a consultation for Invisalign here as I would like to start treatment ASAP. Is there a way of knowing which are the best places to go and is the pricing different depending on the skills or the geography of the dentist?
In Canada you would get two or three sets of braces at a time, is it the same here?
Thanks for reading my problem and i look forward to any advice that you can offer, kind regards, Allie

Hello, I hope that you are well
I just wanted to inquire about invisalign for younger patients. My son is 13 years old and his teeth have come through very crookedly and now that they are all through I thought it would be time to do something about it to help boost his confidence. I really like the thought of him wearing invisalign, as it is invisible and he won’t be made to feel as awkward as he would wearing big metal braces-so my question is even though he is 13 would be be able to get invisalign and from how I have described his condition in this message do you think invisalign is the best treatment for him?
thank you very much for any help you can give me Dr Manoloutso
