My husband has suffered tooth misalignment after a car accident, can he have a brace?

April 30th, 2012
Q.

Hello, my husband had a car accident just over a year ago and three of his teeth at the front of his mouth took some of the impact. whilst they didnt break or crack he feels that these three particulat teeth are not aligned with the rest of his teeth but have bucked backwards slightly. His teeth are painful but he won’t go to the dentist becuase he is worried that they willl remove his teeth.
I have been researching online about different treatments and I wondered if the invisal brace would help my husband?
He has somewhat of a phobia and won’t even research it on the internet. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Would Invisalign be a good brace choice for my 14 year old son?

April 12th, 2012
Q.

Hello Doctor Thorne

Do you believe that invisalign would be a good treatment for a 14 year old? My son’s front teeth are crossed and he feels very uncomfortable with himself. I would like to help him get the smile he wants but without having to feel embarrassed about have wires all over his teeth that people can see, so Invisalign sounds perfect. Is he likely to find a good level of treatment with invisalign?

Thank you

Can you tell me if Invisalign requires tooth removal?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

Hi,

does invisalign often involved tooth removal at the start of the treatment. I have had a bad experience with this procedure before and would like to avoid it. I have heard that some practices offer the sedation option would you know of any recommended practices which offer this treatment?

thank you very much for your time doctors

Is Invisalign only done privately? What would be the average cost and are there any payment schemes?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

Hi Doctor,

my friend has recently started wearing Invisalign and i can’t get over how good they look and would really like a pair. However I am not connection with a private dentist at the moment and I believe invisalign is only involved with private practitioners. My question is how much is the expected cost of a usual invisalign case and do most practices offer payment plans. I believe I can get the money together but obviously not all at once. I would really like this treatment pretty soon and seeing the transformation they’re casting on my friend’s teeth has sealed the deal!

thank you for any help you can give. thank you for your time and i hope you can please advice

Would teeth grinding have any affect on Invisalign treatment?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

hello and thank you for considering my question. I have to admit that i am a bit of a teeth grinder both day and night and I wondered will this effect the invisalign? I worry that i will grind through the aligner or at least cause some damage. Or in the long run ruin the brace work that has been performed. If i would cause damaged to the Invisalign brace can you recommend any other braces that would be just as good and as discreet?

many thanks for your time

How can you be sure that teeth will move properly with Invisalign treatment?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

Hello doctor Sepehrara,

i just wanted to ask a general question about how the invisalign aligners work. I know that there are made in the United States with your mould and the details sent for perfect and bespoke fitting but how is it possible to know how you teeth will evolve throughout the course of the treatment? I understand that you are given the full set of aligners from the start but what if your teeth react differently and therefore the next set of aligners no not fit. What would happen then? Sorry for being so nosey i just want to be thorough in my research and get the best brace system and I really like the sound of invisalign,
hope you can help thank you for your time

Does Invisalign treatment leave any marks on teeth?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

hello doctor,

Do invisalign leave any marks on your teeth after the treatment like traditional braces. Obviously it won’t be the residual glue you get from metal braces but has it ever left scratches on teeth after treatment has been completed? I just ask because I plan to get my teeth whitened after my teeth are nice and straight and deserve to be shown off for once! and friends who have had braces and then whitening have experienced a blotched whiteness to their teeth due to where the brace had been. Does this ever happen with invisalign?
hope you can help and thank you very much for your time

Can you tell me how many aligners are normally needed to complete Invisalign treatment?

August 25th, 2011
Q.

Hello doctors, i hope you are well

could you tell me the general number of aligners you experience people using and what the usual time scale is for an ‘average’ case? My teeth aren’t that bad i just have a gap between my front teeth and some slight gaps between two other teeth, nothing too major but enough to make me feel unhappy with my smile. I ask about the time scale because i am getting married in 3 months and would really like to look my best in the photos with my gorgeous wife to be. If you help me achieve the smile I need i’ll be sure to invite you both to the wedding! lol

thank you very much for your time doctors

Treatment to close front tooth gap has caused other gaps. What can be done?

August 24th, 2011
Q.

Dear Mr Kumar,
Hope you are in the best of health.
My question is that I have a gap in my top two front teeth and I have an over bite.

I am half way through a four month treatment with Clearstep and I have been told now that even though the gap between my front two teeth is closed I will now be left with gaps through the rest of my teeth.

Also after an hour of not wearing the clearstep my teeth start to move as they have gaps in them and the dentist has recommended that at the end of my treatment he will fill the gaps with a filler in order that they do not move.

I am now thinking of my options and want to know whether I will have the same problems with invisalign.

Kind Regards

dr raj kumar
