Worried as teeth are sensitive after IPR

January 8th, 2010
Q.
I just got the IPR done for my invisalign treatment and there are these horrible gaps in ym teeth because of it. This is not the problem though as my teeth have all of a sudden become quite sensitive because of it. Coupled with the cold weather this is a bit of a ngihtmare. This isn’t going to last too long is it?

Can I have invisalign if I have a missing tooth?

January 4th, 2010
Q.
Toward the back of my mouth is a missing tooth. I lost this a few years ago but never got it sorted because it was so far back no one could notice it. Now, I want to get the rest of my teeth straightened through invisalign but I am unsure if I can do this seen as I have a missing tooth. Will this not maybe make the teeth mosve into this gap rather than straighten the? Hope to hear from you soon, Rachel.

Is the IPR procedure safe to do with invisalign?

January 4th, 2010
Q.
Is the IPR procedure not just basically stripping away the enamel that is so important to teeth? This seems like a rather risky part of invisalign to me???

How long does invisalign normally take to close teeth gaps?

December 17th, 2009
Q.
How long does invisalign normally take to straighten teeth? Is it quicker or just as quick as metal braces? I have small gaps between my teeth and they are not crooked but they will need to be brough closer to gether I guess.

Is invislaign possible if I have four missing teeth?

December 15th, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr. Akere, I had braces when I was about 12-14 (I am now 21) and my teeth have relapsed. I recently had 4 extractions on all sides in the back because of tooth decay. I was wondering, is invisalign still an option with these four missing teeth? Thank you.
