Do you get more colds with Invisalign?

Q. hi there. I have been thinking about getting invisalign for a while as i feel really self conscious about my teeth. Thing is i have been reading on the internet about it and some people are saying that invisalign can make you have laods of colds? is this true? and can it be prevented? thanks,

A. I have never heard that ever to happen, none of my patients have ever reported to me that this have been on the case. Regular cleaning of your teeth, the brace and obviously your hands before removal and insertion would mean germs are less likely to be introduced to your mouth.
