Good Day. I Would Like To Ask You Whether A Six Year Old Would Benefit From Invisalign Treatment?

Q.
Good day. I am a practising surgeon abroad. My six year old daughter lives in the West Midlands, and I am seeking assistance with her management. She has a severe class two bite, with significant overjet, with anterior proclincation of her first two incisors and is also slightly retrognathic. I would like to ask if a six year old may benefit from Invisalign during maxillary growth in her mixed dentition stage. I am seeking treatment for her case, and have cephalograms, with tracings already. I would be grateful for your advice. Thank you for your time.

Many thanks for contacting me. I think that your daughter is really too young for any intervention.
During her growth she would benefit from possible arch expansion with a Schwartz appliance, but again I would wait till she is at least 9 years of age.
I do have a good orthodontist to whom I can refer her privately in Birmingham, if you get in touch with my clinic. Best wishes, Dr R Kumar.
