Q. Hi Dr Kumar. Sometimes when I laugh my jaw makes a popping sound. This is usually when I have been laughing quite a lot. Is this normal? It doesn’t cause any pain but the sound is still worrying.

A. Dear Sir/madam, you may have a slightly mobile jaw joint where the bone is displaced and the elastic disc gets stretched and pops back. It is very common and if it does not hurt then I would not worry
