How much different does it make going with a dentist who is not an Invisalign preferred provider?

Q.
I asked my current dentist about Invisalign and he seems keen to do it. However he is not a prefered provider, how much difference does this make? are oreferred providers better dentists or do they just have a financial relationship with the company? thanks
A.
In order to provide an Invisalign treatment you have to undertake specific training. If your dentist is an accredited invisalign provider, then by all means go ahead. But if he is not, it means that he is not trained for it. It has nothing to do with being linked to the company. Also, the ranking of invisalign providing dentists has to do with how many cases they have treated.

hi,ive recentley seen a consultant and was quoted £3995 for an aligner. This treatment included teeth whitening and a retainer at the end of the process in which they said would take 15 to 18 months. Is this a fair price and the going rate etc? many thanks.
