Q.
Hello Dr Thorne, I would love to hear from you and I hope you can help me, I would really like to know what the component which goes into making Invisalign is made up of? I’m currently researching the different types of lingual brace and this would go some way to helping me understand which system would be best to go forward with. I would like to thank you for any information you can provide me with in advance and I look forward to your reply.

Hello and thank you for asking. It is not the usual type of question we get get here but I’m only too happy to provide you with an answer. It is a proprietary construction of biocompatible medical grade thermoplastic. This has been improved over the years and now is known as SmartTrack. This means that elasticity has improved, along with comfort and improved predictability and control. I hope this helps you decide which system is best for you. Best wishes. Dr Adam Thorne.
