My teeth have relapsed again, what do you recommend?

Q.
Hello, two years ago I got retainers on my teeth but I found them a pain and often didn’t wear them. My teeth were not really misaligned that bad but was still a problem. So my dentist gave me braces which I wore for about three months or so. I was then given retainers after the braces to avoid relapse but again didnt wear them often. My teeth has now relapsed slight as one of my front teeth is slightly overlapping another. What would you suggest for me?

Hi
Retainers are essential to be worn long term to stabilise your new tooth position….and the only way to be 100% certain there will be no relapse, they will need to be worn for life.
If you are happy to accept your new tooth position I would suggest new retainers, if you would like to correct your misalignment, I’d suggest some short term brace such as Simpli-5, Invisalign Lite or the Inman appliance.
Good luck
