Should I wait for my wisdom teeth to come through before I begin Invisalign treatment?

Q. I am 21 and due to start invisalign treatment, however my wisdom teeth have not yet come through and I am concerned that once they do they may completely misalign my teeth again, would you suggest I wait for treatment?,

A. So long as you wear the aligners then the wisdom teeth should not affect the treatment. Once finished do ask if the wisdom teeth need to be removed. Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
