6 Month Smiles or Invisalign?

August 7th, 2014
Q.

Hello, hope you are well! I’m trying to decide between Invisalign and 6 Month Smiles. About a month ago I had a consultation for Invisalign, and the dentist I saw said I might not be 100% satisfied with the results because it might be significantly better at straightening my bottom teeth than the top (my teeth at the top are severely crowded). He seemed to think that fixed braces would be much better for me and as much as I really want Invisalign I looked at fixed braces and found out about 6 Month Smiles. Would this be better for me?

My Dentist Has Moved. How Can I Finish My Invisalign Treatment?

June 16th, 2014
Q.

Hi there. I’m currently using Invisalign. I’m half way through treatment and my dentist’s company has up and gone. Do you know the best way for me to source the remaining stages of aligners that I require to finish my treatment?

I’ve Chipped My Tooth. Will It Harm My Invisalign Treatment?

May 20th, 2014
Q.

Great. I managed to chip my front tooth when playing football at the weekend. My aligner still fits but I am worried that this may in some way harm the treatment. Will it? I have my appointment at the dentist coming up this Friday anyway so I will ask then but I would appreciate to hear your opinion. Thanks.

May 3rd, 2011
Q.

I asked my current dentist about Invisalign and he seems keen to do it. However he is not a prefered provider, how much difference does this make? are oreferred providers better dentists or do they just have a financial relationship with the company? thanks

If I have overcrowded teeth is it necessary to have teeth removed in order for invisalign to work?

January 5th, 2011
Q.
Does Invisalign ever require teeth to be removed? Is this less than with fixed braces? I would like to get my teeth straightened but my teeth are very crowded and I dont’ like the idea of having teeth removed…,

How often should I be seeing my dentist during the Invisalign treatment?

December 9th, 2010
Q.
I am now only a week into my invisalign treatment but can you tell me how much interaction I can expect to have with my dentist? She seems to be getting her assistance to do a lot of the work and then she will come in and finish off the job and make sure things are going smoothly. How often will appointments be? Thank you for taking the time for reading this and i await your response. ,

My dentist has placed some attachments on my front teeth and they look awful, why has this happened?

August 31st, 2010
Q.
I\’ve just returned from the dentist with my first set of aligners fitted. My dentist however has stuck some protrusions on my front side teeth. I was never told this would be needed, and it looks VERY, VERY odd – enough to make me reconsider choosing invisalign vs. normal braces (which I used to have when younger) and where nothing weird needed to be done to my teeth. They now look distorted, deformed even, with this stuff stuck to my original teeth and I am embarassed to be seen in public. Worse still, I\’ve no idea how these things will be removed without permanently damaging my teeth. Is this standard practice, and if so, why was I not told about it before paying for the treatment in full? Appreciate an opinion from another dentist. Thanks,
