What Is The Most Comfortable Brace System?

May 30th, 2014
Q.

Hello, I wondered if you could just provide me with a small piece of advice please? I can’t handle pain very well at all. I am overly sensitive and it’s been a problem of mine for many years now. The doctors hated me when it came down to having injections or anything like that. My teeth are very misaligned and I’ve been after braces for years but worried about the amount of pain that they may incur. Can you please tell which braces you think are the most comfortable? Thank you!

After 3 Weeks Of Invisalign I’m Still In Pain, Is Something Wrong With My Aligners?

May 19th, 2014
Q.

Hello there, I’m worried about my aligners. I’m on my 3rd week of using Invisalign aligners but I’m still experiencing a lot of pain around my top front teeth. I have been told by my dentist that it’s normal to experience pain at first but I’m taking painkillers and they don’t even seem to help! Do I need to be worried, is something wrong? I know that because they hurt, the treatment must be working but the pain is unbearable and I just want to keep taking them out. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

What is the best way to take out my Invisalign aligner?

December 19th, 2011
Q.

hi, what is the easiest way to remove your invisalign brace? I’ve had mine for about a week and it’s really hard to take out when I want to clean it or eat and I’ve cut my gums on it as well. I obviously don’t want to make it too loose at it wouldn’t be very good at treating my teeth but is there anything you could recommend such as a skill or technique? thanks for your time

I have just moved on to wearing Essix retainers but I think they might be pushing against my filling as it is really painful.

April 27th, 2011
Q.

I finished Invisalign treatment in March 2011 and was fitted with an Essix retainer which was a well fitted. I had a filling replaced on the top teeth and it felt slightly thicker than the mold. Since then I have been in constant pain and the teeth appear to have moved. I now have numbness and swelling to my upper jaw and it looks as if the incisor has pulled down. I have been advised by NHS Direct Dental Nurse to remove retainer as I have an appointment with my orthodontist in 4 days. Will another course of invisalign correct this? Could you please advise?

Should I get Invisalign or Damon Braces?

February 2nd, 2011
Q.
I am trying to decide whether to get damon braces or invisalign. I qualify for both as my teeth are a bot crooked. But I am not 100% sure about invisalign because I think the aligner would feel uncomfortable. I like invisalign because there are no brackets but I like damon braces because they are ceramic and can be quicker. Can you help me decide what to do?,

I have a lot of pain because of my braces, what can I do?

January 10th, 2011
Q.
I have been wearing my first tray of invisalign for a week now and have been experiencing intense pain on the inside of the roof of my mouth. The plastic on the tray which spans the space between my front teeth seems to literally cut into the skin on the roof of my mouth. What can I do about this?,
