Would Invisalign be able to widen my narrow smile?

Q.
hi, at a younger age i had 1 tooth removed ( right lateral incisor) and now the gap has filled over the years. This was removed because the denist said the tooth is growing from the top. My smile is not as wide as it should be and it feels that my top jaw is narrow. The side where the missing tooth is has misaligned teeth because of the way they have settled in without a lateral incisor. Can this be fixed by expanding the top for space with invisalign and implanting the missing lateral incisor? Thank You
A.
Hi
Depending on the amount of space required, Invisalign would probably struggle with this, even fixed may struggle. You’ll also need to look at your bite and how the upper teeth meet with the lower. Then consider your option above of opening the space up and an implant or straightening the teeth and possible contouring, bonding or veneers for a more balanced appearance. I’d suggest a good cosmetic dentist who works closely with an orthodontist for your best option.
Good luck
