Would Invisalign express be suitable for treating just one tooth?

Q.
I have only one tooth that sticks out at the front and it’s twisted at an angle of about 45 degrees. Do you think that Invisalign is ideal for this one tooth and can this be done with Invisalign express. Is it cheaper if you only work on one tooth rather than all my teeth?
A.
Hi
Invisalign could treat this. It depends on how far the movement is required, if there is enough space between the adjacent teeth to fit this in and if it needs to be rotated to fit. Invisalign Lite (Express) only allows 14 aligners so is quite restricted in how much treatment / movement can be achieved. It is possible to have a further 5 aligners but your dentist may charge for these, as Invisalign will bill him for them. It is usually better for a full Invisalign treatment, which allows as many aligners as required and up to 3 sets of refinement, rather than be left disappointed because you feel your treatment isn’t quite complete. It can be slight cheaper if just one tooth is moved and your dentist will probably quote you on what Invisalign will charge him plus how long he feels the treatment will take and approximate number of aligners.
Good luck
