Can I wear my aligner for less than 23 hours a day?

Q.
wearing aligners for 23 hours a day seems unrealistic. How much of a problem would wearing them slightly less than this be?
A.
Whilst it is vitally important Aligners are worn for the correct amount of time i normally recommend 21-22 hours a day wear. This gives you 2-3 hours for eating drinking and having a break. I tend to find most people can stick to this fairly well and it is realistic amount of time for wear. Any less than this your teeth may not move as much as they need to for that stage.
