Can you have gum surgery for cosmetic reasons when undergoing invisalign?

Q. Hi, my dentist has said that he can perform a type of surgery that removes some of the gum from around my teeth. I\’m currently undergoing invisalign purely for cosmetic reasons and that\’s why I\’m thinking about the gum surgery too. He did say there might be a risk that my teeth come lose, what do you think?,
