Can you help me decide between Invisalign and fixed braces?

Q.
Hello,
I would very much like to have Invisalign braces mainly because they look so discreet and they are removable but I am worried that perhaps I should get fixed braces. If I lost the aligners how much generally do you have to pay?I don’t think it would be possible to lose them but I have skills at losing pretty much anything and everything. Also, once you start having the treatment is there a cooling off period in case I don’t like them? I am worried that when they start moving my teeth it will hurt and I would probably be tempted to take them out which worries me.

Hi
As you say Invisalign braces are discreet and are quite comfortable to wear. If you lose the aligners there is usually a charge of around £100 per aligner, however there is a case that comes with the aligners and ideally they should be worn full time so it should be unlikely. You could try Invisalign teen which although is slightly more expensive and specifically designed for teenagers, it includes up to six replacement aligners. There is a cooling off period when you have had your impressions before you accept your Clincheck (your simulation, though you may lose a small deposit. You could also try a single retainer to see if you get on with aligner type treatment.
Good luck
