I have only begun my Clearstep treatment but the tray feels far to tight. What should I do?

September 20th, 2010
Q.
I am on my first trays of Clearstep – I have very crowded uppers and slight crowding of lowers. My lower trays are fine, however the top trays are very tight and when taking out I have to use the outie tool – however it feels as though I could quite easily pull my front teeth out with it – they feel very tender and feel like they could snap in half when taking out or putting in the tray. Once in everything feels fine! I\’m only 48 hours in so I know this is probably normal but just need a bit of re-assurance! Thank you in advance!,

Are invisalign braces noticeable?

November 24th, 2009
Q.
When taking out the aligners to eat are they really noticeable and hard to get out or is it not too bad? For example, lets say I am out for a meal on a date and need tlo take them out. Am I best skipping off to the loo to do it?

Can I see invisalign in action during consultation?

November 19th, 2009
Q.
During the free consultation that many practices offer will it be possible to see someone actually wearing the braces? I don’t really trust pictures so would much rather see how good they look when someone is wearing them and I know it for a fact.

What food should be avoided when using invisalign?

November 18th, 2009
Q.
Are there any foods that should not be eaten when undergoing invisalign treatment? I mean when taking my aligners out to ear that is, not with them in. Things like toffee for example.

Can invisalign help to improve my bite?

November 18th, 2009
Q.
Can invisalign help to improve the bite. My bite has never felt quite right as it overlaps more than it shoud. I think it is called an open or closed bite, something along those lines anyway. I know invisalign is good for straightening teeth but what about this?

Can treatment combine invisalign and fixed braces?

November 18th, 2009
Q.
Do you know if it is at all possible to start with fixed braces to move the teeth a bit and then move onto invisalign to finish the job off? I would rather do this than just go with horrible looking fixed braces and I thinkg this would speed up the process rather than just having invisalign?

Has invisalign messed up my bite?

November 18th, 2009
Q.
I am coming to the end of my treatment with just three weeks left and my teeth do look a lot better but my bite feels strange. My teeth do not close as they used to and I think they have been moved wrongly. Does this ever happen for patients? What can be done if this is the case?
