How does Invisalign work and how much does it cost?

Invisalign uses a series of clear plastic aligners, that are each less than one millimetre thick and removable. They are virtually invisible and very comfortable. You wear them full time apart from when eating, brushing and flossing your teeth and with hot or sugary drinks (ie about 22 hours per day). You change to a new aligner every 2 weeks. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to tooth position, a process that is mapped out in advance by your doctor using 3D computerised technology.

Every patient is different and the length of treatment will also be unique but can take from a couple months to a few years, depending on the complexity. Similarly costs range depending on the number of teeth to be treated, the complexity of your case and the experience of the doctor. Most practices will offer various payment options from a discount if paid up front to spreading the payments out over a certain term or even finance options.
