I have a question regarding wear of the Invisalign braces. My partner is currently undergoing Invisalign treatment and is on his fourth set of braces. It seems to be going well so far and he wears them for the recommended 20 hours a day so far. The problem is that he is going on holiday soon for three weeks and he has told me he doesn’t plan on wearing them much as he is on holiday and wants to enjoy himself. I am worried that this will set back all the good work that has been done so far? I think that he will wear them, but just not as much. Obviously I am not happy about this as the treatment has been expensive and it could reverse all the treatment he has had so far. Could you please advise me on this so that I can tell him of the repercussions of not wearing the braces properly? Thank you

Hi there! I can tell you with certainty that his teeth will relapse when he will not be wearing his brace to the point that he will have to back track almost to the beginning of the brace! I have had a case like that, when she forgot to take her aligners while on holiday and it set the treatment back several months! Vasileia
