I am 60 years of age, is this too old to have Invisalign treatment?

Q.
I would like you opinion on invisalign braces, for lets say ‘an older gent’ I am 60 years old and my teeth have never been straight. Some would say that it is pointless and frivolous of me to spend my money on braces at my age, but the fact is that I’ve wanted straight teeth all my life and it wasn’t until a lucky spot of gambling two weeks ago that I have the money to have my teeth straightened. As I am still and old codger however I would like braces that no one can see, which is why I am interested in invisalign. My teeth are crooked on the top and I am 60 years of age-is there any hope for me?

Thank you very much Vasileia for your time

Hi there! My experience tells me that the desire for straight teeth and a nice smile is not age related! My youngest patient is 13 years old and my oldest 68. Once orthodontic forces are applied to the teeth, the teeth will move regardless of age. Invisalign has the additional advantage of being a virtually invisible and a very hygienic brace. It would be best if an experienced Invisalign provider had a look at you to assess if you would be a suitable candidate for this and if your expectations can be met. If you live near us, we will be happy to offer you a free assessment. Best of luck, Vasileia.
