I have been unable to get my second tray in as it just won’t fit! What can I do?

Q. I have just started Invisalign treatment with 17 upper and 27 lower trays ahead of me. Had one tooth removed on the lower to create space. My orthodontist is aiming to expand the upper arch (it is crowded) to achieve a reasonable result without tooth removal here. Tray one has been fine but tray two (uppers) I simply cannot get in at all! Well not fully and I feel it is too traumatic to keep trying to push this on over my teeth and then pulling it off again when it wont go on and that I will damage the enamel. Obviously I am going to contact my orthodontist asap and am just keeping tray one in the uppers until then but I wondered if you had any thoughts about this please? I was getting on really well with tray one and tray two is now fine after a couple of days. Would appreciate your comments. My orthodontist is most defintiely affiliated to Invisalign. Thank you. Kind regards. ,
A. Hello, You did the right thing by wearing the no 1 aligner longer until your visit to the orthodontist. What i do recommend is to wear the existing aligner longer than the recommended 14 days and try again .If after that you are still having difficulty fitting it contact the orthodontist for some minor alteration to the aligner. I hope that helps
