My daughter has an allergy to metal, what brace treatment can she have?

Q. Hello Dr. Kumar, My daughter needs braces, but they would have to be through the NHS. I am of course aware that Invisaline are not available on the NHS, but is there anything else that she could have due to here metal allergies, or could we have help somehow with Invisaline if there is no alternative? Thank you in advance for your response. EM,
A. Dear EM, unfortunately the NHS will not agree on metal allergies etc. If a dermatologist/immunologist agrees that she has an allergy to the allys found in metal braces then they may agree to Invisalign , but I find it unlikely Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
