My son has been told Invisalign is not suitable for his overbite and crossbite. Is this true?

Q. my son in his twenties has been told that invisalign is not suitable for his overbite and crossbite and there are some twisted teeth. i thought this treatment was advisable for most things. can you advise me on this matter. Regards.,
A. It depends, invisalign can move teeth well, sometimes untwisting teeth can be difficult and unpredictable. Sometime you could have a short course of fixed braces firsth and then invisalign. I do treat twisted teeth and cross bites with invisalign but treatment can take more than two years.
