What is equilibriation?

Q. My orthodontist has recommended equilibration, this sounds very scary! Should I go ahead with it, is it worth it??,

A. I really do not know in what context it is being recommended. Equilibriation is the adjustment of the tooth surfaces to fit better when biting. It is not that scary Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
