What is the difference between a cosmetic dentist and an orthodontist?

Q. Hi Dr Raj Can I ask what the difference is between a cosmetic dentist and an orthodontist? I ask as my teeth have shifted since last having treatment about 12 years ago, how much do you charge for invisalign? I believe it is minor crowding Thanks

A. A cosmetic dentist can offer simple orthodontics or a cosmetic solution. An orthodontist can only offer orthodontics. In terms of cost, if you think you have mild crowding then the best bet is to get a dentist to examine and confirm it so. Our charges range from 3000-4000 as we do not treat simple crowding by stripping the enamel between the front teeth. Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
