Is there anything you can recommend or least reassure me on for cleaning my invisalign aligners? I have heard about 50/50 hydrogen peroxide/water and Sterident however do not want to use without dentist opinion. I know that the chances are that the invisalign cleaning system will be recommended however this is setting me back a small fortune and I find the fact that you have to purchase this separately really quite appalling.

Personally i would only recommend 2 things to my patients. Good thorough brushing with a small amount of toothpaste and ideally an electric toothbrush or the Invisalign cleaning crystals specifically developed for the aligners. I find in most cases very thorough brushing every time the aligners are out keeps the aligners in good condition during that stage. I simply don’t know if using other mixtures will damage the aligners so i would definately not recommend this to you.
