Will Invisalign aligners affect my speech?

Q.
Hello,
I am considering having Invisalign braces to straighten up my teeth but I have one or two questions first!
My job as a teacher means that I do a lot of talking as you can imagine and I wondered if wearing Invisalign would affect my speech in any way? I would imagine it will maybe for a few days?
Also, does it cause the teeth to feel soft? Can you wear them when swimming? Finally do you have to change your diet whilst wearing them?
Sorry about all the questions I just wanted to make sure I am going for the right brace and have the correct information before going ahead.
Have a good day and thank you.

Hi there! Having Invisalign should not affect your speech, we haven’t had a single patient mentioning speech disturbance. You can wearing them during sport activities, but I would recommend removing them and rinsing them after a swim, and they do not affect the quality of your teeth! Your diet will not change, as the brace is removed when you eat. Hope this helps a little. Best wishes, Vasileia
