Will Invisalign Help With Moving Relapsed Teeth Back?

Q.
Hi. As a teen, I’ve worn fixed braces on two separate occasions to aid moving my teeth backwards. At 17, I was finally free from fixed braces and was provided with retainers to wear at night. Through the years (I’m currently 24), I had stopped wearing them and as a result feel my teeth have started to move forward again and spaces have started to develop. Would Invisalign help with moving my teeth back (my teeth are straight with no apparent signs of overcrowding)?
A.
Hi, thank you for your question. Yes, Invisalign has proven to be very good for treatment relapses, and is often used for this purpose. A retainer is needed once the treatment is complete to make sure that the teeth don’t relapse again. Good luck!
