Hi there Doctor,
could you tell me the protocol when it comes to a teeth grinder looking to wear invisalign. I sadly do not only grind my teeth in my sleep but also in my waking hours, when concentrating or even daydreaming, it has become an awful annoyance to myself and those around me and not only that my teeth are in an awful condition alignment wise. My top teeth are crowded and crooked and I really want to sort them out, and would prefer if it was done discreetly. WIll I be ok wearing invisalign in light of my grinding problem?

Dear Bruxist, yes Invisalign will be fine for you. The aligners are very sturdy and whilst you are straightening your teeth, then you can give your facial muscles a bit of a rest.
You may actually perforate the aligner with constant grindin, but there is not much you can do about it.
