Q. Hi Dr Vajda, I have just snapped a small piece off the back tooth on my upper tray aligner whilst cleaning it. I get my second set of aligners in a week\’s time. Will it be OK to keep wearing my upper tray until then? It still fits perfectly and can feel that it\’s still working. I can\’t afford to pay for a replacement but worried in case this will ruin the treatment process!,
A. Hello, If you think the aligner is stable and it does not cause any irritation you might be able to wear it until the second aligner is due. In the mean time if you notice any changes on your teeth, gum or further cracks on the aligner immediately book an appointment with your dentist.
