Can you tell me how many aligners are normally needed to complete Invisalign treatment?

Q.
Hello doctors, i hope you are well

could you tell me the general number of aligners you experience people using and what the usual time scale is for an ‘average’ case? My teeth aren’t that bad i just have a gap between my front teeth and some slight gaps between two other teeth, nothing too major but enough to make me feel unhappy with my smile. I ask about the time scale because i am getting married in 3 months and would really like to look my best in the photos with my gorgeous wife to be. If you help me achieve the smile I need i’ll be sure to invite you both to the wedding! lol

thank you very much for your time doctors

Hi,
We have found the average number of aligners per case in our practice is 18-24. Although we have completed a number of very mild cases in as little as 10 aligners which as I am sure you are aware equates to as little as five months.
As I am sure you appreciate, the number of aligners needed is very much dependent upon the initial position of your teeth. In your case, the size of the existing spaces would be a determining factor as to treatment times and it would difficult for me to estimate numbers of aligners for you without a full clinical and radiographic Invisalign consultation.
The huge advantages of Invisalign for people, like yourself, with important upcoming dates in the diary are:
1) Unlike any other form of Orthodontics, an Invisalign Clincheck can be produced which can give potential clients a very good idea of what their teeth positions will look like at any given time interval throughout treatment.
2)With the almost Invisable Nature of the Invisalign aligners, patients do not have to be conscious about important photographs on such occaisions. There is even the option to briefly remove this orthodontic option completely for the purposes of the photos if you ever felt the need!
You will be pleased to know that I have certainly found Invisalign to be very predictable in correcting ‘spacing’ or ‘Gappy smile’ cases.
Wishing you the very best of luck with your treatment choice and most importantly your Big Day in 3 months time!
Kind regards and best wishes
Darren
