Can you tell me if Invisalign requires tooth removal?

Q.
Hi,

does invisalign often involved tooth removal at the start of the treatment. I have had a bad experience with this procedure before and would like to avoid it. I have heard that some practices offer the sedation option would you know of any recommended practices which offer this treatment?

thank you very much for your time doctors

Dear Sir/Madame,

One of the major advantages of Invisalign compared to traditional orthodontic methods is usually extractions can be avoided. Only if the teeth are very crowded do we need to carry out extractions. Personally i would say 90% of my Invisalign cases are extraction free. This is good news for people who are understandably apprehensive about the thought of extractions. Usually an Invisalign certified doctor could give you a good idea if extractions can be avoided and this is usually confirmed at the ‘clin-check’ stage of treatment.

I would recommend finding a certified Invisalign doctor in your area for a consultation. I would recommend any of the Invisalign doctors on Invisalign Guide. My practice is in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Many thanks,
