Q. hi, i had a brace about 7 years ago and my bottom teeth have gone misaligned and wonky again. i have recently seen someone that had a permanent retainer fitted behind her lower teeth, it is just a single wire that is fixed from the canines. i was wondering if i would be able to have this done or if i have to start orthodontic treatment again? many thanks for you advise, Gemma
A. Hello Gemma,
If you are happy with the current situation you can have a retainer to keep the teeth in this position.
The best would be to have Orthodontic treatment to move the teeth after which have a fixed retainer fitted.
Have a consultation with a dentist beforehand.
