Do I need metal braces? I wanted invisalign!

Q. I am 48 years old and just visited my orthodontist who said I need metal braces. I have a missing tooth in the bottom which has caused my middle teeth to shift and one of them is overlapping. My ortho said that invisilign would not correct this and need metal ones. Is this correct? I am 48 yrs old and would rather not have a mouth full of metal. please help,
A. It depends sometimes fixed braces are better fir certain situations. You might still be able to have invisalign it just might take alittkle bit longer.
