Hi there, I\’m about to start my invisalign treatment 1 day before I go away on holiday (i\’m away for 6 wks) and I am worried that this may not be a wise idea due to pain, complications that may occur and general hassle whilst on holiday! A. The discomfort depends on your pain threshold and it eases over a few days and painkillers can help if needed. My only concern is if you lose your aligners, you will incur further charges to replace them. It really depends on what you wish to do. I have had patients that started treatment just before they go on holiday so they have time to get used to them whilst relaxing and not at work. I have also had other patients who wait after their holidays.
