I am afraid of getting the impressions done because of a gag reflex. Is there an alternative?

Q. I am afraid of getting the impressions done as I have quite a bad gag reflex. Is there anything the dentist can do to help me or even an alternative?,

A. We have treated many patients who have had gagging reflexes. the options are 1. use smaller trays 2. hypnosis 3. iv sedation
