Hi Dr Raha. Is there any chance you could help me? I broke my Invisalign retainer recently and I’m afraid to tell my orthodontist. He’s quite scary. Will my teeth be okay if I just leave it? I know your supposed to see the treatment through to the end but my teeth are fine and straight enough now. What should I do? I don’t want to go back!

Hi there, thank you for your question. I would definitely advise that you see your treatment through until it is complete, as failure to wear a retainer may result in your teeth moving back to their original position. Don’t be afraid of your orthodontist, he is there to help you and these things do happen sometimes! He should be able to get another one reprinted for you. Good luck. – Dr. Sepehrara
