I don’t think my aligners are moving my teeth properly, what should I do?

Q.
Hi, I have one wonky tooth next to my two front teeth (before the brace it was almost on its side) and am 3/4 way through my invisalign treatment. the tooth has rotated quite a lot since last march when i first got the braces but I’ve had to have a refinement due to a space in the bottom on the tray where the attachments didn’t fit as the tooth wasn’t moving down. Now on my refinement trays (14 new ones) the gap had returned. Is there any advice on what I can do? Thanks, for your time doctor thorne

Hi
I would suggest an appointment with your dentist before moving forward with any more aligners (and bring in your previous aligner if you still have it). Sometimes this is a space issue between this and the adjacent teeth which is easily rectified (using ‘IPR’ – the small tooth adjustments) but is easy if treated sooner rather than later.
Good luck
