Q. hello I am not happy with my invisalign attachments my dentist has put buttons on my 6 front teeth and he did not tell me anything about this before starting treatment everyone looks at my teeth strange and asks “what are those blobs on your teeth” Is there any way i can have this treatment without having the attachments on all six teeth? maybe just on 3 instead or are all of them needed?
A. Ideally this should have been discussed before the aligners were made. The attachments are there to help move those teeth. I do not see why some of then can’t be removed although it may reduce the effectiveness of the aligners. Speak to your dentist and I am sure he will remove some. You may need new aligners made.
