I have nearly completed my Invisalign treatment but have suffered some root resorption, should I continue with the brace?

Q.
Hi,

i have recently been having invisalign treatment until i started have horrible pain in on of top teeth. It turned out that i am suffering root absorption with about a quarter of the root gone. My dentist says i should stop the treatment but i feel that my teeth are almost perfect, what do you suggest?
also what can you do about root absoprtion? should i have the tooth taken out and replaced with an implant and if i did this could i continue with invisalign?

thank you

A.
Dear Sir/Madam,
very difficult question. Root resorption can occur during orthodontic treatment and your dentist is right to stop the movement. If you want the teeth to be straighter then maybe you should ask your dentist if you could slow down the aligner change, giving the tooth more time to move.
It is not necessary to remove a tooth that has gone root resorption, especially so little.
