In your opinion would Invisalign be able to help with my impacted canines?

Q.
I have two impacted canines. I have seen an orthodontist about this and he gave me a number of options.

-Clear ceramic braces and expose and ligate my canines to bring them down.
– Invisalign and remove my canines.
– metal braces and expose and ligate my canines.

I am unsure which path to choose. Ideally I would like to choose the one which is least obvious and most effective but that sounds a bit like having my cake and eating it.

Any advice?

Hello, this is a difficult question to answer without a full clinical and radiological examination.
For me it would very much depend upon the existing space availability, the alignment and condition of the rest of your teeth, and the degree of impaction of the upper canines.
I appreciate you would like to go down the least obvious approach, which is were Invisalign is a fantastic product, but I personally always look to try and save healthy teeth were possible. If you are a suitable case, perhaps you could expose the canines, bring then down into play and then correct the overall orientation of your teeth using the Invisalign approach.
Alternatively, one great advantage of the Invisalign product is the clincheck. This powerful tool enables us to assess in computer 3D imagery what your teeth could look like at the end of treatment prior to even starting. If you thinking about having the canines removed then prior to this I would recommend having a clincheck performed to assess what your smile would look like. Make sure you would be happy with the aesthetics achieved before electing to extract teeth.
Without a full assessment of you, I am sure you appreciate my difficulties in answering your question but I hope this helps.
