Q. I am currently having my teeth straightened by invisalign. Earlier today I inserted my latest set this morning and I have just noticed this evening that a couple of my front teeth move slightly when I pressed my tongue against them. Is this normal? In addition I notice that there is a gap between the top of my tooth and the top of the aligner. Is this normal? Thank you in advance for your help.,
A. The slight movement is due to the bone being softer around the teeth that have been orthdontically moved; it is quite normal. The gap between the teeth and the aligner is nothing to worry about, so long as the gap does not increase. Dr R Kumar BDSLDSRCS
