Listerine mouthwash is making my gums sore. Cause for concern?

Q. I have started using listerine as part of my dental hygiene routine, but am finding that it makes my gums a bit sore when I gargle. Is this a bad thing or does it jsut mean that it is doing a good job?

some people find listerine original a bit strong, but you can try the new milder flavour listerine instead.
