Q. when doing the IPR my dentist was very rough. the pressure he applied seemed very over the top i thought he was about to knock the tooth out! is this how it should be or was he a bit rough on me? whats the deal?,
A. IPR can be a bit uncomfortable especially once you have started orthodontic treatment as the teeth are more tender. In some cases pressure may be required when carrying out IPR just because the contacts between the teeth may be very tight.
