How can I contact Invisalign about transferring dentists?

November 7th, 2012
Q.

Dear Dr Thorne

I am in the position of needing to contact Invisalign direct but cannot find an email address for Invisalign customer services please?

My original orthodentist will not release my records to the new one and so I need to contact Invisalign direct to authorise them to arrange handing them over and to send another replacement final aligner urgently but I cannot find an email address to contact them. To telephone from the UK and try to find the right person to speak to would probably be very expensive .

I have had a horrible time with Invisalign I was prescribed them to prevent further bite erosion to the back my front upper teeth plus my orthodentist said they may as well incorperate some very minor evening out and a small crossover (none of which I was bothered about but as it was included I thought ‘why not?’) .

I am at the stage 1 year and 10 months (due to various delays and mistakes) and £4500 later (for just 10 lowers and 16 uppers) of finding that the retainers are a misnomer. Instead of holding the position of the last aligner they fight it & are sending /allowing my teeth back to where they were at the worst time with protruding buck teeth, large overbite and big gaps between visible teeth at the front.) Iwas happy enough with my teeth as they were and only took this route to save my front teeth so am upset and angry the fact that my smile will be ruined for no good reason unless I can resolve this quickly.

I eventually had to walk away from the original orthodentist who refused to return aligners to Invisalign at various times when they either did not fit or produced the horrendous results detailed above. A new practitioner has been sympathetic and helpful (especially as I was apparantly massively overcharged originally) taken impressions and supplied retainers which were not proved by the previous dentist. He replaced the first retainers FOC when they clearly weren’t maintiing position, but now the only option forward is either £800 to try more rigid retainers (which again may not work) or start a new course for £2500 which I can neither afford nor face after my past experience and living with the restricted lifestyle for so long.

I feel contacting Invisalign direct is the only answer as there have been errors and mistakes they are unaware of and so may be prepared to help with if informed.

Many thanks for any assistance you can offer

After braces treatment will my teeth reverse back to their original position?

June 6th, 2012
Q.

My two front teeth buckle inwards and causes my alot of pain in the mornings and also when eating. I have been to one orthodontsist quite a few years ago who old me I would have to have teeth taken out before any treatment could be done and also that my teeth would reverse back to their original state.
I really want to do something about this. I am 33 and I don’t have lots of money so I would also have to look at what in terms of treatment I could afford.
Do you think this is right or should I get a second opinion?

How will a missing tooth affect my braces treatment?

June 1st, 2012
Q.

I have wanted braces treatment for a while now because my teeth buck inwards at the top and my bottom front teeth are crooked. I was looking into whether the Inman Aligner or Invisalign would be suitable as I want a discreet look for my job.
I haven’t had any consultations yet about this as I want to be in a financially stable situation before I proceed.
The problem I have now is that during a rugby match someone knocked out one of my teeth and I had to have an emergency appointment at a dentist near where I was playing.
How will this affect my braces treatment? The emergency dentist cleaned the area and gave me antibiotics and briefly discussed my options.
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Would Invisalign be the best form of treatment to straighten my bucked front teeth?

May 22nd, 2012
Q.

Hello Adam,
I have slightly bucked teeth at the top and have never received treatment to sort them out. I am 23 and I feel more self concious now. I have a dentist on the NHS who said a brace should sort it out but I didn’t realise there were so many different types these days. I like the sound of Invisalign but can you wear them just on the upper teeth and if the problem isn’t too severe would it take less time to work? Thank you for your help,

Can Invisalign correct my buck teeth?

August 23rd, 2011
Q.

hello Dr ,

I am looking into the possibility of having the invisalign invisible braces treatment for my front teeth which are bucked teeth and stick out quite a lot. Do you think that it would be ok for me to have invisalign for this condition? I am really, really interested in the braces as my friend had one and you just can’t see it at all which is great for me. What is the general price for the treatment with buck teeth like me?

thank you for your time and feedback.

Is my 13 year old daughter suitable for Invisalign?

August 11th, 2011
Q.

hello

i am looking to get invisalign for my 13 year old daughter. She is very self conscious about her two front teeth which stick out a little bit. I of course think she is beautiful as she is, but it has really been bothering her of late and i would very much prefer a brace that wasn’t going to be too noticeable and make matters worse. Do you think she will be ok with invsialign or is she too young for this particular brace?

Any help you can give would be great. Thank you for your time

Can Invisalign correct the damage my tongue thrusting has caused?

July 26th, 2011
Q.

hi

I have a problem with my tongue, i think it’s called tongue thrusting, and it has effected my front teeth, so they kinda jut forward. I was wondering if invisalign would be a good brace for sorting this out? Also, i will probably be needing something after the treatment to stop my tongue from ruining my smile, could you tell me is there is anything like that available?

thank you

Would you advise that I go with Invisalign or veneers for my buck teeth and overbite?

November 29th, 2010
Q.
I am in a muddle to go with two different treaments: buck teeth are my problem and there is also issues with an overbite. I know Invisalign should be able to help but is there any chance veneers could be used? What would be your recommendation? Is there a big gap in price?,

Am I in my early 50s too old for Invisalign to treat my buck teeth?

October 15th, 2010
Q.
I am in my early 50s and I have little doubt that I am older than most of your patients that have braces. But for all my life I have been aggravated by my buck teeth and I am hoping I have not come too late to get them fixed? Is Invisalign suitable for someone of my ahem years?,
