Can Invisalign treat my teeth that have relapsed, and will crown cause any problems?

October 4th, 2010
Q.
I had fixed braces when I was younger for about four years. They were not nice and this is not something I would like to go back to. I lost my retainer a year after and just let things slip. Now a couple of my front teeth are angling away a bit, not too badly mind but enough that I notice. Also when I had my braces taken off those years ago one of my teeth to the side had to be removed because of decay. I now have a crown where that is. Would Invisalign b e able to re-straighten those teeth that have moved away, na dhwta about the crown would it cause any problems?,

Is there anyway I can increase the gap between my crowns to ease flossing?

August 6th, 2010
Q.
I\’d like to know if it\’s possible to very slightly increase the gap between my extremely tight fitting crowns, without having to take them out? I find it very difficult to floss, and have tried various techniques/floss. My hygienist & dentist both recommend Superfloss. However, this too is very difficult to use. Before my accident, my teeth had a usable gap between them. Now with the crowns, it\’s really difficult – to the point where I don\’t bother most days. All of my other natural teeth are fine, with a nice small gap and are easily flossed. I\’m wondering if there\’s some sort of very thin, fine gauge product akin to \’sandpaper\’, that could be used to very carefully just increase the gap by a few thousandths of a mil – just enough to make it possible to comfortably get the floss between my crowns? My dentist keeps saying just push it through and let it snap in to place. But this usually makes my gums bleed – hence my reluctance. I’m sure that if the crowns weren’t so tight that I’d be able to floss more easily, and therefore more regularly.,

Is it possible to have Invisalign treatment as I have crowns?

August 5th, 2010
Q.
I have two crowns, both in my front teeth and was just wondering if I could still have invisalign? I wasn\’t allowed fixed braces because my dentist said it would ruin my crowns when they had to be removed. Thank you,
